POETRY BORES PODCAST | FINDING INSPIRATION S1 EP 4 : THE LORD’S PRAYER

THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father,

who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name;

thy kingdom come;

thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread;

and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;

and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

Matthew 6 v 9 – 13

POETRY BORES PODCAST | FINDING INSPIRATION S1 EP 3: IDEAL GASES

NOTES

  1. Gases are complicated.
  2. They contain Billions of energetic gas molecules that can collide and interact with each other.
  3. Since it’s hard to describe a real gas, the concept of an ideal gas suffices
    1. They do not attract or repel each other
    2. Ideal gases take up no volume, as they have no volume in and of themselves
  4. If this is too good to be true, you’re right.
  5. No gases are exactly ideal, but there are plenty gases that the concept of the ideal seems useful in many situations
    1. If the pressure is too large, temp too low, there can significant deviations from the ideal gas law
    2. Most confusing about using ideal gas law plug in the right units  when plugging in numbers: I.E you need to understand what you’re working with
    3. Molar form, molecular form, proportional form (molecules remain the same, quantity is constant regardless of the process which the gas is taken

TAKEAWAYS

  1. Human relationships are complicated. Complications are an essential part of being. Lack of understanding maybe.
  2. There are a billion things operating between an individual’s ears at any one point.
  3. We can manage our lives, but we can never achieve the ultimate ideal. Work towards the ideal state.

POERTY BORES PODCAST | FINDING INSPIRATION S1 EP 1 : INFLATION

NOTES

DEFINITION

Inflation is an increase in the price of goods and services, and a decrease in purchasing power.

TYPES OF INFLATION

Demand-pull effect: an increase in the supply of money and credit by monetary authorities, like the central bank. This leads to increased demand for good and services, and thus, increased prices.

Cost-push: when there is an increase in the supply of money, the cost of production increases, leading to high consumer prices.

Built in inflation: People expect prices to continue to rise in the future, and as such, expect their wages to rise to maintain their standard of living.

WHAT DOES INFLATION SAY ABOUT THE NATURE OF BEING?

  1. Human being are never satisfied. We are constantly in search of more.

2. Cause and Effect seems to be in-built into the fabric of reality.
