Why Me?

Before belief systems transmuted into organised religions, our ancestors in ancient Greece, and across many cultures, suspected that human affairs were the playthings of capricious gods who delighted in confounding mere mortals. Modernity has conferred more sophistication, but we are still largely clueless about events outside the realm of scientific inquiry.

Caught in the vortex of the unknown, humanity is forever grappling with the arbitrariness of birth, life and death. In response, “Why me?” explores, from an individual perspective, the lessons Christians can distil from biblical biographies, and affirms why God’s promise of eternal life should be the irreducible beacon that steers us through the fog of life.
