Longest Hour

Opened a small shop when the year began
Ran out money when no one could come
Now I’m on the assembly line
Trying to pull my life back together again
Working dead end jobs to keep the lights on

It’s been 6 months and I’m exhausted
The society overstated its strength
And now it can barely breath.

6 more months of resilience,
Hope I can muster it
It only takes a weak mind to bring down more rain.

Now i’m on the assembly line, trying to pull my life back together again
